joe...During the time period you mentioned I was around 12 - 13 and being that I had just moved from inhabiting a place with a culture thats almost the adverse of the one evident in the US I had a lot of difficulty adapting so I vented my frustrations in various ways.
Kicking things and dancing in Union Square was one of them haha.

joe..It holds a lot of significance in my life and a special place in my heart above other areas of NY, it cultivated who I am today and why I behave the way I do.
I think due to its becoming a more mainstream element of young peoples culture it holds varying and often questionable places in peoples minds but I love it.
